One Handpiece, Multiple Surgical Functions
The BJ2110 is built around a multifunctional handpiece rather than a single dedicated surgical task. Different attachments can be fitted to the same power unit, allowing the equipment to be configured for drilling, sawing, reaming, pin and wire driving, cranial procedures and other orthopedic applications.
This setup can be useful for hospitals that prefer to keep a common power platform while selecting the appropriate attachment for each procedure. It also gives distributors a wider product configuration to offer instead of maintaining separate complete motor systems for every function.
Quick Attachment Changes in the Operating Room
The handpiece uses a quick cup-link attachment design, making it easier to change between compatible surgical heads. The connection is also designed to rotate through 360°, giving the operator more freedom when positioning the attachment.
For procedures where the direction of the instrument needs to be adjusted during setup, a rotating connection can be especially useful. The exact attachment and coupling should always be matched with the intended handpiece configuration and surgical application.

This range gives the system a much broader role than a dedicated bone drill or saw. A hospital can select only the attachments it regularly uses and expand the configuration later when additional surgical functions are needed.
Different Drilling Configurations for Different Needs
The system includes several drilling options with different operating characteristics. The high-speed drill and Small AO coupling drill are specified at 0-1100 rpm with a maximum torque of 2.5 N·m, while the cannulated drill is specified at 0-600 rpm with torque up to 4.5 N·m.
The acetabulum reamer is designed for a lower speed range of 0-270 rpm with maximum torque of 10 N·m. These differences allow the attachment to be selected according to the type of drilling or reaming task rather than using the same operating profile for every procedure.
Sawing and Reciprocating Functions
The platform also covers several powered cutting options. The sagittal saw and reciprocating saw are specified at up to 15,000 oscillations per minute, while the sternum saw is listed with an oscillation range of 0-15,000.
A TPLO-type oscillating saw is also available within the attachment range, giving veterinary orthopedic users an option for procedures requiring that specific cutting format.The choice of blade and attachment should be based on the intended surgical procedure and the manufacturer's compatibility requirements.
