A Versatile Platform for Everyday Orthopedic Work
The BJ4200 is a multifunctional orthopedic power tool designed for hospitals and surgical departments that need several powered functions without using a separate handpiece for every task.
The main handpiece can be paired with different attachments, allowing the same platform to be adapted for cutting, drilling and other orthopedic procedures. This makes the system easier to work into an existing instrument setup, especially for departments handling different types of surgery throughout the week.
A Middle-Level System With 10 N·m Torque
The BJ4200 delivers 100 W of output power, with a rotation speed of 1,100 rpm, an oscillation rate of 15,000 cpm and maximum torque of 10 N·m. The 14.4 V operating voltage provides the power source for the handpiece and its compatible attachments.
Rather than focusing on one extreme operating characteristic, the system offers a mix of rotational and reciprocating functions for different surgical requirements. The available torque also gives the platform a useful performance range for demanding orthopedic work.
Interchangeable Attachments for Different Procedures
The BJ4200 is built around a replaceable-attachment concept. Once the required attachment is selected, the same handpiece can be used for a different surgical function without changing to an entirely separate motor system.
This can simplify equipment preparation and also make the system more practical for distributors supplying hospitals with different procedural needs. Compatible interface options are available for attachment configurations associated with brands such as Stryker, Hudson, Linvatec and Synthes, subject to confirmation of the exact coupling required.
