Acetabular Reaming Within a Modular Power System

The BJ2107 is an acetabulum reamer attachment for the BOJIN SYSTEM 2000 multifunctional orthopedic power-tool platform. It provides a dedicated reaming function for procedures where controlled enlargement or preparation of the acetabular area is required.

Because the BJ2107 works as an attachment, the same main handpiece can be used with other compatible surgical heads for drilling, sawing, cranial work, fixation and related procedures. This allows hospitals to configure the system according to the cases they handle rather than purchasing a separate complete power unit for every function.

Low-Speed Rotation With High Available Torque

The BJ2107 operates at 0-270 rpm and provides maximum torque of up to 10 N·m. This gives the attachment a low-speed, high-torque working profile that is well suited to reaming tasks where steady rotational force is more important than rapid movement.

The operator can work within the stated speed range according to the procedure, accessory and surgical technique. The high torque specification also gives the attachment a different role from the higher-speed drilling and bur options available within the SYSTEM 2000 range.

A Different Tool From Standard Bone Drills

Although drilling and reaming both use rotary motion, the two functions are not interchangeable. The BJ2107 is specifically configured for acetabular reaming and operates at a lower speed with higher available torque than several other drilling attachments in the SYSTEM 2000 range.
